Amazing little joint on the corner of Bank and Market. Step into a quirky, comforting, mood lifting experience as you enter the space. There’s a splash of magic any direction your eyes gaze. The owners are kind, sarcastic, attentive and know how to make some damn good food. I highly recommend staying for dessert also. New Albany is lucky to have this restaurant in their community. Wow! I can’t believe it took me this long to try this awesome place. Every single aspect was on point-the service, the unique atmosphere, the wide variety of options (vegan, etc), huge portions, and most of all the amazing food. Loved everything we tried today but especially the special Valentine’s Day sandwich! Satisfied my hunger and sweet tooth. *chefs kiss

From the moment you approach the colorful, robot-themed exterior to the moment you step inside and find yourself surrounded by aliens, space memorabilia, and galactic flair, you know this is going to be a unique experience. I ordered the pork pozole soup, which had a subtle but satisfying kick and made great use of hearty hominy. I added a side of fried cornbread—crisp on the outside, fluffy inside—which complemented the soup perfectly. The highlight of my meal was the daily special: a maple-infused bacon and ground beef sandwich layered with Swiss cheese and horseradish sauce on toasted rye. It was out of this world—sweet, savory, and packed with flavor. Every bite was balanced and indulgent. Though the restaurant is small—roughly 12 seats at the counter—there’s a cozy outdoor seating area, and they do have a restroom available upon request. The atmosphere is intimate and fun, with a decor that feels like a cross between a retro diner and a sci-fi collector’s dream. The owners were welcoming and enthusiastic, even offering local tips after learning I was from out of town. It’s the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like more than just a customer. Lady Tron’s is open for lunch Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. Specials rotate frequently and can sell out fast, so don’t wait—just go. Whether you’re a sci-fi fan or just hungry for something incredible, Lady Tron’s is a must-visit.
Highly recommended! Wonderful!!! Absolutely wonderful. Great place for anyone nastolgic. Love love love the menu and always having something new and fresh. I am sorry about not taking photos as I did not hesitate to dig in. My wife got the Quantum box with lady Jane grilled cheese and some crab rangoon soup with a piece of gingerbread cake. I ordered the LT and we both had just water to drink. Wow! The LT was bigger than I expected and was an absolute explosion of flavor. The sweetness of the maple syrup was a little on the forward side but balanced the savory flavors very well I thought. The salty crunch of the chips reminded me of when I was younger and adding them on every sandwich I ate 😆 I absolutely love it. It not only feeds my belly but it feeds my soul with all the nostalgia. Before I realized my wife finished her grilled cheese 😆and the chips served inside the vintage metal "Star Wars" lunchbox. Yes you read that correct. Those chips I would buy by the case. They are soooo good, in the voices of Mr. Jones and Uncle Elroy so good it makes you wanna slap yo momma! No joke some of the best chips I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. The crab rangoon soup was wonderful. Everything I expected, creamy smooth and crab yum! It's not a big place don't expect room for too many people. I do think there's about 10 seats. Was looking for lunch. Seen pictures on maps. Wasn't sure what I was walking in to, especially with the wife as a picky eater. Everything was great. Wife found AND ate something (that's a challenge). Hot sauce was so good we bought some.
I have felt drawn to this place for awhile. The sci-fi theme, size & rotating specials have always tugged at me. Today we went because we were on vacation, doing a "foodie stay-cation". We picked one new place to eat every day around Louisville & Southern Indiana. We went after the lunch rush & was not disappointed. We both tried the Mac & Cheese grilled cheese sandwich. WOW it did not disappoint. Discovered it had Cheetos sprinkled in the cheese mix just as they put it on the bread. What genius!! Started following on FB to keep appraised of the changing specials. The folks running place were great to talk to. They had great suggestions of unique food places to try as well. We will definitely revisit!!
I had the absolute BEST experience at Lady Tron’s. The vegan spicy Jamaican carrot soup was unbelievable — rich, flavorful, comforting, and had the perfect kick of spice. The LT sandwich was just as incredible. Every bite tasted fresh, intentional, and made with love. What really made the experience unforgettable though was the people. The owners were genuinely some of the kindest, warmest, most welcoming people I’ve met in a long time. You can feel the heart behind this place the second you walk in. It didn’t feel like just grabbing food — it felt like being welcomed by friends. If you’re anywhere near New Albany and you haven’t tried Lady Tron’s yet, you are seriously missing out. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, and amazing humans behind it all. I’ll absolutely be back. 🥰
